Cafe Muse: Veils, Halos & Shackles: inc Linda Pastan

The Word Works, in collaboration with Friendship Heights Village, features readings from Veils, Halos and Shackles: International Poetry on the Abuse and Oppression of Women with poets Ned Balbo, Roberta Beary, Linda Pastan, Jane Satterfield and moderator Charles Fishman.
Café Muse opens at 7 pm with refreshments and classical guitar by Michael Davis; readings begin at 7:30.
Friendship Heights Village Center is la 7 minute walk from Friendship Heights Western Avenue Redline subway stop. All Café Muse programs are free to the public and handicap accessible. Come out and hear some good poetry, and read some of your own!
